In my capacity as the Consul General of the State of Kuwait in the Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR of the People's Republic of China, I am honoured to reiterate the interest of the political leadership in the State of Kuwait represented by his Highness the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and his Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah alongside to the government of Kuwait in developing bilateral relationships between the State of Kuwait and both Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR , while still striving to promote future collaborations between my country and these vibrant cities in numerous fields and sectors at both public and private levels.
Kuwait has maintained excellent diplomatic ties with other friendly nations in the world and ensured the improvement and development of its economic, social, cultural, educational, health, and environmental ties with them and in the fields of energy.
Both Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR have many distinctive qualities in commerce, investment, finance, technology, education, culture, and tourism, and which require us to constantly seek ways to enhance cooperation and collaboration with the relevant stakeholders either in the private or the public sectors.
The State of Kuwait is committed to exploring all available opportunities and possible avenues to improve upon relations with these two cities and their people. It also aims to expand the cooperation framework to keep pace with the continuous changes and development around the world. Our country is also looking forward to exploring opportunities carried on by the "one country, two systems" principle and the tremendous support of the People's Republic of China to both Hong Kong and Macau SAR as well as opportunities created by the "Belt and Road" initiative and major projects in the Gulf region to align with Kuwait’s vision for 2035.
The Consulate General of the State of Kuwait in Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR will ensure that all efforts are made to cooperate with all the relevant parties for the purpose of enhancing the relationship between the State of Kuwait and both Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR, especially after the China-Gulf Cooperation Council summit and the China-Arab States Summit which took place between 7-10 December 2022 in Riyadh and created many great cooperation opportunities.
The Consulate General of the State of Kuwait in Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR would also like to welcome all Kuwaiti citizens residing in these amazing cities. We will ensure to provide outstanding support and assistance in all required services to safeguard the interests and welfare of Kuwaiti citizens during their visit to these cities.
